Report illegal content (abuse / notice)

The Memstead registry hosts user-published content. We are a hosting provider: we do not pre-screen content, but we act on concrete notices of unlawful content expeditiously.

How to report

Send a notice to: abuse@memstead.com

A notice we can act on must state all four of the following. If any is missing we will reply asking for it, naming what was missing — so please include everything up front:

  1. What — the content you believe is unlawful.
  2. Where — the registry handle (<scope>:<name>, with the version if

specific) or its page URL (/v/<scope>/<name>).

  1. Why — the legal ground (for example: copyright infringement, or the

specific category of illegal content).

  1. Who — your identity and contact details, so we can follow up and so the

publisher can respond to a counter-notice.

and may submit a counter-notice disputing the removal.

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

Reports of child sexual abuse material are handled under a separate mandatory process and are escalated to the competent authorities. They are never treated as an ordinary notice and are never auto-rejected for formatting.

Vulnerability reports

Security vulnerabilities in the registry itself are not content-abuse reports — see the project's security policy / SECURITY.md for that channel.
